Summary

Another day, another episode of fake news. As friend of the show Michael Malice likes to say, "the corporate press is factual but not truthful." In today's edition of How Can We Distort the Facts to Make Trump Look Bad, the New York Times published a hit piece claiming that Trump has only paid $750 in taxes in 2016 and again in 2017. At least, that's what all the headlines have reported. Journalists and editors know full well that headlines drive the news. All you have to do is read their own reporting to see how dishonest they're being. However, leaving that aside, let's take their arguments at face value. Say Trump actually has managed to avoid paying more than $750/year in taxes. First of all, good for him! Would that we all managed to do that. But he's just playing by the rules that were written by Congress. And where has Joe Biden spent the majority of his life? So Donald Trump has succeeded in a system that was created in large part by Joe Biden, and Joe Biden's campaign team at the New York Times and throughout the corporate press are claiming that Joe Biden is the solution to Donald Trump. What a magnificent hustle all around. The corruption of the American system is ASTOUNDING. If the corporate press believed any of what they say about advocating for the poor and disenfranchised, they'd be inundating us with headlines like "How to Game the Tax Code So You Too Can Make Billions and Only Pay $750 in Taxes." But no one is considering the best interests of anyone but themselves. Everyone ultimately acts in their own self-interest. It's up to you to look out for your own interests, because no one else is going to. And once you understand that, the whole world will start to make a lot more sense to you.
