Good morning. It's Sunday, September the 29th, 37 days until Election Day.

In just two days, Minnesota Governor Tim Walls and Ohio Senator J.D. Vance will take the stage in New York City for the first and likely only

vice presidential debate of this cycle. Tuesday's matchup will be the first time that the two men

will meet each other in person and it will offer them both a chance to reintroduce themselves

to the country. Since joining their respective campaigns, Walls and Vance's paths have diverged.

Walls's profile has skyrocketed,

and generally voters have found him to be likable, which has been a boost for his and Kamala Harris's campaign. On the other hand, Vance's history of controversial comments has been a liability for

Donald Trump's presidential bid, and polls show that his favorability ratings are well underwater. So the stakes are high,

especially with early voting already underway in many states. This may also be the last marquee

event of the cycle, because although Kamala Harris has accepted a proposed debate for October 23rd,

there's been no indication that Donald Trump will change

his mind about doing another debate. The Republican nominee is more keen to hold friendly rallies,

where he's able to make outrageous claims without any pushback. Both the tone and the content

of his campaign speeches have continued to be both baffling and outrageous. At a rally in Wisconsin

yesterday, he repeated many of his fear-mongering claims about immigration, and he praised

Hungary's authoritarian Prime Minister Victor Orban as, quote, one of the toughest, smartest people.

Now, in fairness, Dhamie did this in his debate with Kamala Harris as well, which was even weird there.

Now, on the economic front, he's been fixated on one particular thing, tariffs.

The word tariff properly used is a beautiful word.

One of the most beautiful words I've ever heard, it's music to my ears.
