0:08.9	Now we've got federal election law violations, federal campaign law violations,

0:15.4	at least two of them, arising out of that interview.
0:18.4	And now at least one is now subject of a new complaint
0:21.5	filed with a federal election commission by an organization known
0:24.5	as N Citizens United who tries to police violations by corporations of the laws that say they
0:31.1	can't contribute. Corporations can't contribute directly to campaigns.
0:35.4	They can have political action committees
0:37.0	and other ways, but they can't do it through campaigns.
0:39.6	There's two major problems,
0:41.5	and that's why everybody knows nose on legal AF and Midas
0:44.6	touched scrunched up when we saw the interview. One is a potential PAC
0:49.2	Political Action Committee violation and the other is a contribution violation by a corporation.
0:55.1	Let's start with the PAC.
0:57.1	Elon Musk has publicly announced and it's been reported that he is contributing 45 million dollars a month
1:05.5	to a PAC related to trying to get Donald Trump elected president. What the PAC
1:11.2	can't do is coordinate with the campaign directly.
1:15.0	That's why they're given almost unlimited dollars at the super PAC level,
1:20.0	but they can't coordinate with the PAC, with the campaign of a president directly, not even indirectly.
1:26.5	They have to do their own thing.
1:27.6	They want to buy ads, they buy ads.
