Somebody's got a win. On this episode I talked to the Atlantic's McKay Coppins about the Christian right, specifically evangelicals, and how they've become even more

zealous in their devotion to Donald Trump. Many no longer need to rationalize him as the

lesser of two evils or as a useful vessel for their pro-life agenda. Now many of

them see him at almost a profit level who can restore America's covenant with God.

He noticed a switch by analyzing the prayers that faith leaders delivered at Trump's

rallies, describing America in almost apocalyptic terms and seeing selection as a spiritual battle.

We also talk about how Mormons, who for the past two cycles were skeptical of Donald Trump,

are also starting to come around to him and how this could tip the scales in the

important battleground state of Arizona. We dig into what's changed, why these

voters segments see Trump differently and how it could impact the race. But first I

want to talk about some of my new reporting. As you know,

Democrats left the DNC floating on a cloud with a lot of messaging that was

targeting their own believers. There's obviously tremendous enthusiasm and a ton of fundraising.

Kalma Harris's campaign says they have raised 540 million dollars since it launched about five weeks ago.
