Well, they were convicted by a very, very tough system.

They were convicted by the same legal system that found you guilty of 34 felony counts.

That is not a tough system. It's a fair one and that laughter you heard from the audience was genuine. They're laughing at the fact that a convicted felon who is promising to pardon other convicted felons is trying to portray himself as the tough on crime candidate.

Speaking of things that cause laughter, Donald's laughing stock of a running mate J.D. Vance got brought up at the conference by

Rachel Scott who asked Trump if he was confident in his selection of Vance as his potential

VP.

Trump at first pretends not to hear the question,

likely to give himself more time to come up with an answer,

and then responds in a way that I don't think Vance was too thrilled about.
