0:19.6	So U.S. Presidents often call other world leaders when those leaders win in an election,
0:23.6	and usually it's pretty boring and doesn't make much news.
0:26.4	That wasn't the case this week, because President Trump congratulated would be dictator
0:30.5	Vladimir Putin on his fake win in a very fake election.
0:34.3	I had a call with President Putin and congratulated him on the victory, his electoral
0:40.7	victory.
0:42.0	The call had to do also with the fact that we will probably get together in the not too distant
0:50.2	future.
0:51.2	So here's what happened.
0:52.4	On Sunday, Putin won another election by the
0:55.2	shocking margin of about 75 to 25 was really a close one. Trump's advisors
1:00.2	briefed the president about what he should say if he called and literally gave him a note card in all caps that said do not congratulate
1:06.8	So you can guess what happened next but here's what didn't happen
1:10.0	Last week we talked about a terrifying case in England where Russia used a nerve agent to try to kill a former Russian spy and his daughter.
1:17.0	So Trump could have used the call to let Putin know he'd crossed the line,
1:20.0	and again you won't be surprised to know that he didn't.
