We've always thought of Donald Trump as a fighter.

When he knows what he wants, he goes after it, it appears, by any means necessary.

And yet, there are hills he's not willing to die on.

This summer, he was campaigning for North Carolina

Lieutenant Governor Mark Robinson. This is Martin Luther King on steroids, okay, now. But when reports

came out claiming that Robinson had posted incendiary messages to a porn site, Trump just kind of

faded out of the picture. When Trump nominated the White House physician Ronnie Jackson to be Secretary of Veteran Affairs back during his first term,

and Jackson faced a raft of allegations of personal misconduct, Trump didn't swoop in to save him.

He withdrew that nomination.
