Michael Cohen was as contrite as he could be.

I blame myself for the conduct which has brought me here today, he told the federal judge,

and it was my own weakness and a blind loyalty to this man that led me to choose a path

of darkness over light.

This man of course is the person prosecutors call individual one, otherwise known as President

Donald Trump.

As Cohen now admits, he committed two federal felonies violating campaign finance laws

in coordination with and at the direction of Trump himself.

Those crimes, along with others, including tax evasion and lying to Congress, prompted

the judge to send Cohen to prison for three years.

But the investigation into Cohen's crimes, specifically, hush money payoffs to two women

who were alleged paramores of the president, is far from over.

This week prosecutors unveiled powerful new evidence backing up these claims from a

key co-conspirator, the media company AMI that owns the National Inquirer.
