Ukraine reportedly agrees in principle to a U.S. brokered peace deal as Russia declines to commit to

anything. But what do we know about the shifting terms of this agreement and what might

still be up in the air? Welcome, I'm Kyle Peterson with the Wall Street Journal.

We're joined today by my colleagues' editorial board members, Kate O'Dell and Jillian Melcher.

President Trump's 28-point plan for peace in Ukraine received a cold reception in many places last week.

And with talks continuing, here is the statement early Tuesday morning

from an advisor to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky. Quote, our delegations reached a common

understanding on the core terms of the agreement discussed in Geneva. We now count on the support

of our European partners in our further steps. We look forward to organizing a visit

of Ukraine's president to the U.S. at the earliest suitable date in November to complete final

steps and make a deal with President Trump, unquote. If that's accurate, an accepting of some of the

terms in this 28-point agreement, one imagines that Ukrainians would do it with
