this morning and felt the salt air and the rust on your door. I never needed anything more.

Okay, I'm clearly not Taylor Swift. No, you're Jill Wagner. I'm Oshuununu. This is the Mo News podcast,

it's August 1st, Jill. So it's like if in sync has, it's going to be May for May,

like I feel like this has become the theme for this month. August slipped away into a moment in time

because it was never mine. All right, I will stop.

Yeah, so this is a place where you get mediocre to, you know,

to poor,

to poor singing.

But we do bring you just the facts.

And we try to read all the news and read between the lines so you don't have to.

On this August 1st, it's here, everybody.

Ready or not? School, you know, your kids will be back

in school very soon, though I feel like people avoid, you know, big decisions and emails and stuff

at least until Labor Day. So, you know, make it count, folks, these last few weeks of summer.

We're pushing summer. Like, it's, there's still, there is still a lot of summer. I feel like there's a lot of me rush. Jill's been trying to make fall happen since, like, the 4th of July. But we're going to enjoy what we got left of it. Okay. Let's get to some headlines. Some breaking news on the tariff front as the White House makes announcements before its August 1st deadline today.

Also, the White House sending special envoy Steve Whitkoff and the ambassador to Israel,

Mike Huckabee, to Gaza today so they could see the hunger crisis firsthand and report back.

There's also some hearings on Capitol Hill about that DC plane crash, what we

are learning about what went wrong, including incorrect altitude readings on that military chopper

that was part of the crash. Yeah, they're still looking into that tragedy from back in January.
