Good morning again, everyone.

We'll look now at one of the central policy proposals in the Trump campaign,

mass deportation of undocumented immigrants.

He's going beyond his signature, build that wall campaign platform to rounding up millions

of people and sending them back to their countries of origin.

One of the commonly seen signs at the Republican Convention last week, you may have noticed

simply read

mass deportation, and Trump backed it up in his acceptance speech.

To keep our families safe, the Republican platform promises to launch the largest deportation

operation in the history of our country. And there's a quote making the rounds originally published on the new site

semaphore by Tom Holman, who was an immigration official in Trump's presidency.

I'll be on his heels coming back, and I will run the biggest deportation

force in history. So what would mass deportation actually involve? Who wants it or not? What would

its effects be on those being rounded up and on others? With me now, Felipe de laos,

contributing member of New York Daily News editorial board

and a lecturer at the NYU College of Arts and Sciences. He has an article on Slate, published last

week, called the Supreme Court just supercharged the scariest part of Trump's 2025 agenda.
