0:00.0	We have some new reporting that at this critical moment where Trump needs lawyers to defend his policies the most,
0:06.8	we are seeing instead a mass exodus from the Department of Justice Federal Programs branch.
0:12.6	It is a branch within the Civil Rights Division that handles the defense of the president, the cabinet, government agencies, exactly in those lawsuits that we're
0:24.4	seeing. For example, they would be the ones who would go in court and defend Trump's
0:29.5	illegal birthright citizenship order. They would be the ones that go in court and defend Doge's
0:35.3	mass firings. Well, these attorneys are leaving. My name is Dean Adol with a
0:41.0	Midas Touch Network. Let's break this down. So new reporting by Routers has gone in and seen the list of
0:48.6	lawyers who existed and no longer exist. And since Trump took office, they are seeing an unprecedented level of
0:57.6	resignations. Sixty-nine of the 110 lawyers within that branch are gone. Ten out of the 23
1:07.1	supervisors have left. A few of these lawyers have spoken to Bruters, and they say the things that
1:14.0	makes sense to those of us who have been following along, which is they did not want to try to
1:21.7	uphold policies that they believe are not legal in court. They do not want to follow through on orders that may have made
1:30.2	them go to court and try to defend things that they felt like they couldn't defend. Specifically,
1:35.9	they said that they felt they would be pressured to misrepresent facts or legal issues in court,
1:41.7	and they felt like that could be a violation of their own ethical
1:45.3	rules. They also did not want to defend policies that some of them felt were not
1:50.7	legally justifiable as reasons for why they have left. Again, these are specifically lawyers
1:59.7	who are defending Trump's executive orders that are defending
2:04.4	Doge, the mass firings of employees. This, these lawyers, this is that specific branch. That is
2:13.1	their purpose. And we saw, we've seen DOJ lawyers quit before because of orders that they felt
2:20.6	they could not carry through, such as the dismissal for Eric Adams involving the indictment of
2:26.8	Abrago Garcia. If they speak out and they don't tow the party line, they're fired, or if they
