The Justice Department releases a new indictment of former FBI director James Comey,

alleging that his Instagram photo of seashells spelling out 8647 last year was a threat to kill President Trump.

The Trump administration's first effort to criminally charge James Comey, that one for alleged

false statements to Congress, was dismissed by a judge. But on Tuesday, the Justice Department

moved to try again with a new two-count indictment in the Eastern District of North Carolina,

which is focused on the former FBI chief's Instagram post last year, a photo of seashells that spelled

out the numbers 8647. According to the new indictment, Comey, quote, did knowingly and willfully

make a threat to take the life of and inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States.
