Will Donald Trump make peace with U.S. intelligence?

Hello again, I'm on Alney, and this is To the Point.

Last time Donald Trump had a full-fledged news conference, he urged Russia to find and reveal more of Hillary Clinton's emails. That was in July. Now he's in an unprecedented public battle with all 17 U.S. intelligence agencies accusing them of a political witch hunt. He denies Vladimir Putin helped him defeat Clinton, alarming Republicans as well as Democrats about future

Russian relations. How serious is Putin's meddling in U.S. politics? Will Trump's own financial

ties to America's powerful antagonists be a risk to national security? On today's talking point

later, back to the civil rights era with Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions.

Hello again, Warren. I'll name back with To The Point. Donald Trump has tweeted that only fools and stupid people don't want closer relations between the U.S. and Russia, despite intelligence findings.

When he gets to the White House, will the president-elect make peace with the CIA, the FBI,

and America's massive network of spies and covert activities. Today's talking point,

tomorrow a Senate committee will take up the nomination of Alabama's Republican Senator Jeff

Sessions to be Attorney General of the United States. Opponents call him a major step

backward for civil rights. We'll talk about him a bit

later. First, this news update at Trump Tower this morning, the President-elect told reporters that this

week's accelerated Senate confirmation process will be no problem for any of his cabinet appointees.

Confirmation is going to us. They haven't started yet. I think they'll all pass.

I think every nomination will be.

They're all at the highest level.
