presidency that shamelessly promotes the White House agenda and mercilessly attacks

the president's critics, with often baseless charges.

But Brian Stelter, CNN's media critic, offers a slightly more sophisticated understanding

of the relationship in his new book, Hokes, Donald Trump, Fox News, and the dangerous distortion

of truth.

It's not Trump who tells Fox what to say and air on its network.

It's Fox who supplies the talking points and often the policy ideas for Trump.
