It is Saturday, December the 13th.

Donald Trump's grip on power and on the Republican Party has seemed impenetrable since he reclaimed the presidency,

but we begin this hour with further signs of its unraveling.

Let's start with the Epstein

file scandal, which has grown into a major vulnerability for the president. Yesterday, Democrats

on the House Oversight Committee released additional batches of photos obtained by subpoena

from the late convicted sex offenders' estate. They feature, among others, Bill Gates, Steve Bannon,

Woody Allen, Larry Summers, Alan Dershowitz, Richard Branson, and former, Bill Gates, Steve Bannon, Woody Allen, Larry Summers,

current President Donald Trump. Now, all of them were previously known to have interacted with

Epstein and all have previously denied wrongdoing. But for Trump, fresh evidence of his

history with Epstein is also a reminder of his administration's

reluctance to release the DOJ's criminal files on Epstein and is humiliating political defeat

last month when every House Republican except one voted to force his administration to release

those files. The new batch of photos, again, were not released by the Department of Justice,

but by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee who obtained them by congressional subpoena.

The context around these images is not clear, and some of them have been published before,

but upon releasing them, the ranking member of the House Oversight Committee,

Robert Garcia, indicated that there is more and worse to come.

There is a White House cover-up happening right now in not releasing these files that needs to end these pictures.
