But it's important to understand how Donald Trump is thinking about the Iran war.

You might be shocked, or maybe not. We need a new system.

We need a new society.

We need to demand that which may have sounded impossible even a few weeks ago,

but is not only realizable, but an imperative necessity.

The president of the United States gets his daily war briefing, get this, in the form of a

two-minute highlight reel of things blowing up. His staff curates videos of the most successful

strikes, edits them, and plays them for him, and then he goes on

television and tells the country that the war is won. Meanwhile, $580 million in oil futures

were traded in a single minute, 15 minutes before Trump posted that he was in negotiations

with Iran, negotiations that Iran says

do not exist. And 10,000 U.S. ground troops are now deploying to the Middle East, the largest

ground deployment to the region since the invasion of Iraq.
