I'm recording today's podcast late Saturday afternoon on August 8th.

And the reason that I haven't done any podcast since Tuesday is because I haven't had any

internet access either at my home or at my office in Connecticut.

That was a result of a power outage following the tropical storm that passed by our area

on Tuesday afternoon.

It completely knocked out power in most of the state, but certainly in my area of the

state.

I've been on generator or was on generator at my house the entire time, but the power must

have gone out at the company that provides my internet, my cable, because even though

I had power from my generator, I didn't have internet.

I didn't have my phones.

And in fact, even my cell phone, the power was out for the cell phone towers.

So there was no data, even if I was able to get a cell phone signal, which I would have

to get from outside.

I couldn't get one from inside the house.

But if I went outside, I could get a weak signal and I can make a phone call.

And once in a while I can get a text message.

But I had no data.

And in fact, at one point, I couldn't even get data anywhere in the state.

But I think after a couple of days, if I drove far enough from my house, I could get a

cell signal that would enable me to actually get some emails or receive some emails or

look at the internet.
