Another busy week of politically charged legal news making the headlines.

Pulitzer Prize winning reporter Carol Lening, and her team at the Washington Post,

recently uncovered a secret criminal investigation into whether

former President Donald Trump received money from the Egyptian government

in violation of campaign finance laws. Lennig joins Joyce Vance and me on a new episode of the

Cathay Insider podcast to discuss her reporting. She also speaks about the

Secret Service's failures that led to the Trump assassination attempt,

something Carol knows a lot about, as the author of the book, Zero Fail,

The Rise and Fall of the Secret Service.

In other news, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has revoked a plea deal that would have allowed Khalid Sheikh Mohammed,

the man accused of plotting al-Qaeda's 9-11 attack to avoid the death penalty.
