Hi, it's Peter Schweitzer and welcome to the drill down. Well, Donald Trump blew up Iran's nuclear program, but that's not the only thing he blew up. We're going to talk about that and why it's a good thing. The co-host of this program, of course, is Eric Eggers. Eric, how are you? I'm just doing my best not to blow anything else up in the course of this podcast, Peter Schweitzer. How are you? I'm good. I'm good. This is a remarkable time because, of course, we have the military exchange with Iran that's taking place. There's a ceasefire

on. There's their ceasefire off. But I think what's interesting in looking at the larger context is that

Donald Trump not only blew up these reactors, he has blown up conventional wisdom because everybody is trying to put

him in a certain niche. American foreign policy over the last really probably 60 years has been

guided by people that fit into a certain camp. You have the interventionists or what some people

call the neocons who like military muscle. they like using it. They don't mind,

you know, using physical force to advance their interest. Then you have the so-called isolationists.

They don't want any part of anything. These camps are all trying to claim Trump as their own.

They're all trying to claim it as part of the MAGA movement. And Donald Trump says, I'm not playing by those rules.

I'm going to be unpredictable.

And I think this is a return to the sort of great traditional diplomacy power projection
