Our top stories, an aid delivery air dropped into Gaza, reportedly killed five people after a parachute failed to open according to authorities in the enclave.

America has been air-dropping food since March 2nd, a move that has been

criticized as inefficient.

But on Thursday, President Joe Biden announced that, in cooperation with the EU and Britain,

it would deliver aid by building a temporary pier off Gaza's coast.

Construction could begin as early as Sunday.

The UN says that hundreds of thousands of people are at risk of famine.

The Republican National Committee elected Michael Watley,

former leader of North Carolina's GOP and Lara Trump,

Donald Trump's daughter-in-law, as its new chair and

new chair and co-chair.

The election of the pair who were both endorsed by Mr Trump

signals the former president's

near complete control over the Republican Party.

At the meeting the committee also voted to recognize Mr Trump as the presumptive Republican nominee.

The former president of Honduras was convicted on charges related to drug trafficking.
