So it was not exactly a silent night for one Donald J Trump. He shared his seasonal wishes on social media in

exactly the way that you might expect. But I warn you, some of this stuff would make

even the Grinch blush.

On Christmas Day, the former president posting a message that was just a big old lump of coal in America

stocking writing Merry Christmas to all but then going on to call special

counsel Jack Smith and out-of-control lunatic calling us political opponents

thugs and wrapping it all up by wishing and I'm quoting here may they

rotten hell again Merry Christmas.

There are lots of ways to wish America Merry Christmas.

Merry Christmas. But may They Rotten Hell is not exactly a phrase you'd want to see on a card.

Not that I've gotten my cards out yet, but here's to February.

It's obvious what's got the former president though so worked up.

He's got 91 felony counts and any one of them could potentially land him behind

bars and at this point it's anybody's guess which of all those

legal cases will be the most crucial. This is going to be the year the law rules

are politics in a way it never has before.

With the presidential campaign about to kick into very high year

and the Republican front runner urging
