I'm joined today by Yohi Driesen and Jennifer Williams, the editor and deputy editor of our

Foreign Section here, and you guys are going to be launching a podcast of your own suit, right?

Yes, we are. We are incredibly psyched. It launches next Thursday. It's called

Whirredly. So subscribe if you're on Apple podcasts, if you're on Google, if you're on

Stitcher, wherever you are, whatever you listen to. It is modeled heavily on the brilliance of the

Weeds, but just beyond the borders of the US. And it is meant to be a deep dive into both foreign

policy and national security. It'll be one long kind of opening segment and then a shorter segment

called elsewhere that's meant to be a little bit lighter and something that's very undercarvered.

So you'll have the kind of deeper dive like we do on this show so well and then also a little bit

of candy at the end. Nice. So it's going to be the two of you and Zach Beechham. That's right.

kind of backdoor pilot style. I mean, you two guys on The Weeds. We've been having requests

from the Facebook group to do more sort of foreign coverage on the show. I think we're actually going

to address that primarily by launchingworldly, but it's really good to have you guys here. I've

been super interested in this kind of brewing cutter story that's been playing out over the past

several weeks because it feels like the first time that we've really seen just a crisis that is

really external to the United States, not particularly about us, but it lands on the president's

desk as things tend to in the world. Donald Trump has to try to deal with it and he's been dealing

within a puzzling kind of way. But Jen, can you take people back to the orangeness of this?
