What we're doing is very simple, peace.

It's called the Board of Peace, and it's all about an easy word to say, but a hard word to produce, peace.

President Trump's Board of Peace met for the first time in Washington, D.C. Thursday,

partly about their goals for redevelopment and reconstruction in Gaza,

where more than 70,000 Palestinians have died over two years of war. Nine nations agreed to pay $7 billion, while the U.S. pledged $10 billion.

Another five countries committed troops to an international stabilization force, which will oversee operations on the ground.

The ISF will do two things.

Stabilize the security environment in Gaza and enable civilian

governance as established by the National Committee.

For the last few months, we've had a team on the ground of U.S. military experts preparing

the infrastructure for the ISF.

This team's already operating from a combined joint operation center that's going to be the

headquarters for the entire ISF. Trump originally invited nearly 50 countries to join the board, though only around

30 have accepted and paid the $1 billion entry fee. Many European leaders have abstained so far,

especially since the board appeared to be in competition with the United Nations.

But Trump denies that, saying that the Board of Peace would, quote, strengthen and look after the

UN.
