And today, I want to talk about the AI Jesus meme from the president of the United States. I really had hoped not to talk about some national political issue, especially

not this kind of thing this week, and all kinds of things I wanted to talk about and then

Sunday night here is this meme and it comes after a couple of weeks in which the president posted on

Easter Sunday morning language including the F word and threatened civilizational genocide against the Iranian people,

then started issuing threats to the Pope, and now generating an AI image of himself as Jesus.

Now he now tells us that he thought that the image was of him as a doctor,

specifically a Red Cross doctor. And there are a lot of people upset, even people who are strong

supporters of the presidents. They feel humiliated and angry. And I think it's worth in this moment asking, well, maybe this could disrupt what we have

just taken to be normal in this kind of means to an end cultural Christianity. For years,

some evangelicals have said to me, you know, Donald Trump might just be the disruptor that we need to bring the country back to Jesus.

I've disagreed with that.

But for the first time, I think there might be one way in which they're right about that, just not in the way that they thought.

It might be that the Trump AI Jesus moment can show us something

about ourselves and show us something about what we've become. And oddly enough, that might be
