In order to get ahead of the onslaught of recent bad news, several members of Donald

in the Circle have been busy giving press conferences in the past 24 hours.

Not surprisingly, all of them have been embarrassing exercises in mendacity and incompetence.

This morning's press briefing started off on a high note, though, with an audio malfunction.

I was happy to take your questions, but first some remarks.

At 11 o'clock, President Trump will participate in a national day of prayer events

where he will invite Americans of all faiths across the country to join him in asking

for God's continued blessings.

Oh, wow. Okay. All right. I guess on the one hand, the good because it was a little hard to hear her and understand what she was saying. On the other hand, seriously, I said high note,

and I meant that ironically, we get to hear her twice. That does not seem fair. Like, I was hoping it was just going to be that

the sound wasn't working, so we wouldn't have to see her at all. But, you know, great to know that

the heathen Donald Trump is going to a bunch of fake religious people to talk about God.

That should work out well. Anyway, the regime was, or members of the regime,

were then asked about the cost of consumer goods, something that has been on everybody's minds,

and also something that they've been lying about repeatedly since the campaign. Let's see what

Stephen Miller, who is a White House deputy chief of staff, the, I guess the

genius, if you will, behind the cruelty towards immigrants in this country and an actual

Nazi had to say in response to a reporter's question about prices. Questions on Doge, of course, because that's the topic that you're here to speak about, but I want to ask one other question about the topic of prices. We heard from the president on this just yesterday right now in prices and the risk that could be some short term, as he said, shortages. He was referring specifically to dolls. What do you tell Americans right now, Stephen, who say they can't afford to,

in the president's words, be patient. Americans who voted for President Trump on his promise that he

would lower prices across the board on day one. But he did lower prices across the board on day one.

Well, grosser prices last month went up 0.4% of course. So I mean across the board, not exclusively.
