0:07.0	Apologies for being two minutes late. We were just digesting the news of the
0:12.8	the indictment filed moments ago against Donald Trump a new
0:19.2	grand jury in Washington DC meeting in secret return this superseding indictment.
0:25.5	This is the government's notice of superseding indictment.
0:28.6	I will read it, but it's basically making the indictment conform to the Supreme Court's ruling,
0:35.7	where the Supreme Court found absolute presidential immunity.
0:39.8	So what Special Counsel, Jack Smith made very clear in the superseding indictment is,
0:44.5	we ain't dealing with him in his official capacity as president.
0:49.4	This was a citizen and this was a candidate, right? And so as a result, the Supreme Court's ruling
0:56.9	doesn't touch this at all and that this should proceed. Also notable special counsel you see the charges right there
1:04.4	saying four charges and what I think is notable as well special counsel
1:08.4	jacksmith and the grand jury kept in there that 18 U.S. USC section 1512 C2 obstruction of official proceeding
1:17.6	which is very important because you'll remember the Supreme Court in that other
1:21.0	ruling the Fisher case said that obstruction of official
1:24.2	proceeding has to deal with documentary obstruction. So with Special Counsel Jack Smith saying
1:30.2	is I'm also not backing down based on the Supreme Court's ruling in Fisher.
1:35.2	That charge carries with it a 20-year sentence and Jack Smith saying,
1:40.5	I don't believe that Supreme Court ruling impacts 1512 C2 at all. Of course
1:45.8	Trump was trying to obstruct the certification of an election that is
1:50.3	documented that involves documents by the very nature of it.
1:54.4	Pull up the notice of special counsel.
