There are many signs in our country right now of the growing authoritarianism.

We see the Trump regime ignoring the law, ignoring checks and balances, completely skirting the will of the American people.

But today I want to talk about something the Trump regime is doing that may go unnoticed

in the face of all of the horrors, but that still has a huge impact, even though it is flying

below the radar.

Basically, what is happening in our country is that the government of the United States is running a propaganda machine in order to fearmonger and spread lies and hide actual data so that people don't really know what's going on.

And unfortunately, this combination of misinformation,

disinformation, and propaganda is very effective,

especially given the increasingly siloed ways in which people consume the news

or information overall. Nowhere is the fascist intent of the Trump regime more clear

than in Donald's Hustle takeover of Washington, D.C. And then, of course, there's Harmead Dylan,

who sadly is currently the head of the Civil Rights Division of the once-story DOJ.

Dylan, in service to her boss, took to Twitter this week to spread fear and propaganda

about the so-called crime wave in D.C. She wrote, quote,

a malodorous homeless person attempted to swipe my phone today while I was walking in D.C. back to the DOJ from an appointment.

But he was not in his right mind, and I artfully dodged the attempt.

It'll be a while till things feel safe in the city, so everyone stay alert, unquote.

First of all, and I say this with all due respect to Deharmie Dillon,

the respect she deserves.
