Well, with just 12 hours to go until his deadline for Tehran to unblock the Strait of Hormuz

and restore the flow of global energy supplies, President Trump postponed his threatened

bombing of Iran's power plants after what he described as constructive conversations between

the two sides. We voiced up the statement he posted on his truth social feed earlier today.

I am pleased to report that the United States of America and the country of Iran have had over the last two days

very good and productive conversations regarding a complete and total resolution of our hostilities in the Middle East.

Based on the tenor and tone of these in-depth, detailed and constructive conversations,

which will continue throughout the week,

I have instructed the Department of War to postpone any and all military strikes

against Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure for a five-day period,

subject to the success of the ongoing

meetings and discussions. Thank you for your attention to this matter, President Donald

Che Trump. Well, oil prices have tumbled and stock markets have risen in reaction to those

sentences delivered in capital letters.

And in the past few minutes, President Trump has been giving more details about his statement

to reporters at Palm Beach International Airport in Florida.

They called, I didn't call, they called, they want to make a deal.

And we are very willing to make a deal.
