We're going to talk about Mexico and Venezuela and Trump deciding that we're returning to imperialism apparently or whatever the fuck we're doing. And we're going to talk about the shooting in Minneapolis. We're going to talk about ICE. And we're going to talk about the economy because the new jobs report is not great. And Michael, I'm good. And it's so good to see you. It's always good to see your handsome face. I love seeing you once a week. I love

listening to you. I love reading the shit you write. Every week is exhausting for all of us,

you know, who follow this stuff. And I got to admit, Mike, and you laid out what we're going to

talk about, and that's kind of the point I'm going to make like I end this week typically

exhausted I'm like politically I'm optimistic because I think the American people are rising up and

turning against what he's doing and my former party's doing but I'm also really down because I'm

really worried about the country.

Like I'm just, like I think we'll have a good midterms in November if we have midterms.

But I'm really worried about what's going to happen in the country right now.

Yeah, you know, I had a conversation with somebody yesterday and I talked about and described it as, actually, it was I was talking to Oliver Libby on the show yesterday.

It was the author of No Floor, Strong Sealing, No Floor, Excuse me, people should check that out if you're interested in.

Somebody was at least trying to put policy proposals together for the party, but I said it, like America's drifting and we've been

drifting for a really long time. And if you just look at every aspect of American society right now, we're going to talk about Trump and all the shit that's gone on this week that is draining and horrible. But like, even the stuff that I love, like, you asked me what I was going to do off stream, what I'm going to do this weekend if I'm going to watch college football. And like, I am. I'm going to watch the Indiana game tonight and hopefully watch them win because I'm

pulling for them. But you follow anything about the sport. And it's all like out of control capitalism, cronyism, greed. And it's like another example of America Grifting. They're taking something that was once really fun. And it was always been a little bit corrupt. I know that. Yeah. But it feels like even worse than it spiraling out of control. And then you can do jump from that to Polymarket. I don't know if you saw like the two things about Polymarket this week. One is all the people who were gambling on whether or not we were going to invade Venezuela. Yeah. It's just gross. But then polymarket fucking all of those people and saying that what happened was not an invasion,

which is ridiculous.

And then Carolyn Levitt ending her press conference abruptly, like two seconds before there was a big bet

that she would end it at that exact time.

So it's like the corruption and the drift and the grift is everywhere. And I'm

terrified for the country right now. And I think this situation with ICE this week and the

reactions from everybody, particularly J.D. Vance, are pretty indicative of that drift.

And Mike, again, maybe part of my problem is because I come from MAGA and I still engage with that part of the country every day, it can be draining. And almost universally, their reaction to the horrible shooting in Minneapolis has been, hey, kind of what that, I think that member,

Republican member of Congress said, obey or you're going to die, or obey or you're

...
