But there are bigger problems diverting Republicans' attention away from the campaign. On the one hand,

there's Donald Trump, the GOPs twice impeached, four times indicted, presumptive presidential nominee who's facing an historic criminal

trial that's kept him away from the campaign trail for the better part of the last month.

The former president had a bruising week in court. Testimony from Stormy Daniels dredged up

sort of details about his playboy past that are likely to remind voters of his history of mistreating women.

He gets a reprieve from court this weekend. He's going to spend tonight holding a rally in New Jersey

where he'll get to do all the talking. Meanwhile, bitter divisions among House Republicans

spilled out into the open again. On Wednesday, the Georgia congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Green moved to oust the speaker

Mike Johnson, and that was a complete bust. The overwhelming majority of both parties in the House
