In the case of the United States versus Donald Trump, the federal government has taken the unprecedented step of charging a former president with, among other things, will fully retaining national security documents.

That's most of the counts, actually. The indictment lists 31 different documents that would be illegal for him to have the moment he left the White House.

Now, as to whether he had them, Trump is kind of conceded at that point.

His team has never claimed these documents didn't exist, or that the FBI didn't find them after months of asking for them.

His claim has been, it wouldn't be that bad for him to be retaining them.

The FBI would also have to prove he willfully held on to them, as in did he know he wasn't supposed to have these papers.

Well, in the indictment itself, on page 15, prosecutors describe this scene, in which Trump allegedly admits he has classified information,

and then shows it off to people who have zero clearance to see it.

And this was a bombshell when we first heard about it. We saw parts of this written down.

But last night, ABC News obtained the tape in which you can hear Trump say it himself.
