for Friday, November 14. The House is preparing for a vote next week on releasing all the Jeffrey Epstein case files.

It's a remarkable turnaround from House Speaker Mike Johnson, as multiple sources tell CNN he had long sought to delay the process,

but now looks to be expediting it, after a calculation that a vote could not be stopped.

And House GOP leaders are bracing for a significant number of Republican lawmakers to break

from President Donald Trump and support the bipartisan bill, led by Republican Thomas Massey

and Democrat Roe-Kana.

It comes after thousands of new Epstein emails were released by the House

Oversight Committee on Wednesday, and CNN's Elena Treen has more on how the White House is

responding to an unusual situation for Trump.

I note something that is very rare that doesn't happen often at this White House as the last

two events that the president had since, the only two events, I should say, since these

emails were released, the president did not take questions. He could clearly hear one of the

reporters asking about his response to all of these emails and he just did not engage. I think

one of the big issues here is, of course, this is an area where his own party is breaking with him, and that is not

something typical of the president's second term.
