Today we would like to talk about Donald Trump and Elon Musk. It's still almost two weeks until Trump's inauguration.

And yet his policies, his announcements are having a major impact on the mood in Europe and on the politics of Europe.

He's talked about Greenland.

He's talked about the acquisition of Greenland and Canada and Panama as well.

But Greenland is certainly the issue that struck a chord with Europeans or growth the fear into Europeans.

Donald Elon Musk endorsed the AFD, the alternative for Germany, as for the February

elections.

He is seriously meddling into British politics.

There is clearly now, by the United States, a concerted push by the United States to influence policy in Europe

today. We wrote about the Digital Service Act, how Mark Zuckerberg's announcement yesterday

to end fact-checking on his platforms, how that is actually a contravention of the BSA, the

digital services act in Europe, which came into effect last year.

Zuckerberg said that he, you know, he hoped that Donald Trump would exert pressure on

Europe, not to follow through with these policies.

So we are under attack, under attack from an administration that hasn't even taken office.

This is quite a, quite a new experience for for us Europeans. Jack, what do you think?

I guess it's kind of the confluence of two different things, right? One of them is the increased

level of influence of the tax sector on the Trump administration's policies, but also I think

it's their kind of increased willingness to go along with the administration and to kind of publicly, if not, if not explicitly support them like Elon Musk does, then to kind of repeat some of the same talking points as the administration. So I think there's much more like alignment between the tech sector and the incoming Trump administration than maybe we've seen previously between, you know, tech and kind of

right-wing politics in the U.S. And I guess just the other thing is that we're really in a,

in Europe, we're really in a difficult position if we want to try and regulate a tech sector,
