0:13.1	about Ukraine Gate, and we're going to focus on several angles, including the underlying issue,
0:18.8	which has gone mostly ignored in the media, which
0:20.9	is the U.S. military assistance to Ukraine that Trump briefly froze and that has caused
0:27.0	all this outcry. Trump accused of weakening Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression.
0:34.6	That is the dominant narrative. We are going to dissect that today.
0:38.2	Max, as you look at the scandal as it unfolds, what sticks out to you as being the key
0:43.7	issues that are being overlooked here?
0:46.2	Well, first of all, I think we have to say with a gun to our head just so we don't seem
0:53.8	like we're, you know, these crypto MA head just so we don't seem like we're you know these
0:55.3	crypto maga guys who are defending Trump that it appears pretty clear that
1:00.7	Trump was asking for some kind of quote unquote deliverable from Zelensky the
1:06.6	Ukrainian president so it looks like there was some kind of quid pro quo where Trump was
1:13.2	asking for in exchange for military aid up to $400 million worth. Trump was asking for
1:22.5	some kind of assistance from Ukrainian leadership in his investigation and the investigation of Attorney
1:29.8	General William Barr into the origins of Russia Gate, which I think you know, you and I have
1:37.7	demonstrated and others have demonstrated.
1:40.4	And I mean, it was basically demonstrated before the U.S. public was essentially an elaborate
1:45.6	national security state hoax.
1:50.9	So I think that it's legitimate to look into the origins of Russia gate and try to understand
1:56.6	how this developed and whether foreign governments were actually involved in it.
