It's all part of the president's

crackdown on crime and the nation's capital. He's trying to expand that crackdown. Also new

this morning, National Guard troops patrolling Washington streets, they are now carrying weapons. This is

an escalation of President Trump's military deployment there. And the president says Chicago is likely the next city to see National Guard troops mobilized.

Two officials tell CNN the Trump administration has been planning for weeks to deploy National Guard troops there.

And the President says other Democrat-run cities could follow despite historic drops in crime.
