0:09.2	certiorari on the issue of absolute presidential immunity meaning at this stage I want to
0:17.4	emphasize that and we're going to talk a lot about it just at this stage in the appeals process, the Supreme Court is saying that they do not want to hear a direct appeal on the issue of absolute presidential immunity after a federal judge in Washington, D.C.
0:35.5	denied Donald Trump's motion to dismiss on those grounds of absolute presidential immunity.
0:41.4	So where we are at is that there is an expedited appeal right now
0:46.2	before the DC Circuit Court of Appeals with oral argument to be held on January 9th. We will break it down and I want to say at the outset that even
0:57.0	though the Supreme Court has denied certiorari for now, it can still hear the issue in a few weeks and Michael Popoc and I both don't
1:08.9	think that this is a big deal yet we will break down why we think that a trial can and likely will still be on track in
1:18.9	2024 unless the Supreme Court does something else in a few weeks.

1:24.4	Also, I want to talk about how the United States Supreme Court
1:28.0	has agreed to hear certiorari, has accepted the writ of certiorari on another issue on the obstruction of official
1:37.6	proceeding count that has been used by the Department of Justice in the various cases in prosecuting January 6th insurrection
1:46.3	as one of the most potent tools that carried with it a 20-year prison sentence, also two of the four counts in the Donald Trump
1:54.8	Washington DC indictment relate to this counter involved this obstruction of
2:00.8	official proceeding account.
2:02.8	Now the writ of certiorari by the Supreme Court
2:05.5	we are seeing now is having a real world impact
2:09.4	on some of the other sentencing and cases. And that is something that we want to make sure we

2:20.1	Eileen Cannon in the Marilago Document case in the Southern District of Florida
