Welcome back to the channel. I'm going to be talking about a few things in this video. I'm going to be talking about Trump, the media coverage of him, and in particular, a decision that was made Friday, 5 p.m., by the National Institutes of Health, to cap the indirect payments to universities at 15%, 15 cents on the dollar for NIH awards. This has created a load of controversy among academic researchers.

We're going to unpack that, and we're really going to get into the details of how universities run.

But first, Donald Trump.

Donald Trump has gotten under the skin of all the media outlets, and he is doing it marvelously.

They're taking the bait every time

he says anything. They're running it on the front page, losing their mind, suffering from a

derangement syndrome. He talked about Greenland and how he was going to acquire Greenland, and they

ran with that for day after day after day. Now, one week, two weeks later, they're not talking

about that anymore. They are literally jumping on any single thing he says and blowing it on the front page just so they have something to talk about.

They don't seem to know how to just wait, see what happens, take it easy.

And that's because I think they're so biased against him.

They don't like him.

They didn't vote for him.

They disagree with anything he does.

Whatever he says, they're going to say the opposite. We saw this happen before. It happened in the pandemic.

When he said reopened schools, they said actually schools are the most dangerous place you could ever send your child.

And COVID is the worst thing that could ever happen to them.

And that was a complete lie.

And so they did a load of damage by blindly opposing everything he says, and they're

falling for it yet again. And that relates to the main topic. The National Institutes of Health

announced on Friday that they're going to cap indirect payments to universities and other research

centers at 15 cents on the dollar, 15% rather than the exorbitant amounts
