Let's get in the mix. Here are your Washington headlines of the day. Number one, Trump's in a corner over Minneapolis.

Number two, how dem candidates are handling ice on the campaign trail. And number three, we've got some news down in Texas.

Crocket is about to go negative. All right, Jake, let's get into it. All eyes continue to be on Minneapolis after the second deadly shooting. And now that

has having big impacts here in Washington with President Donald Trump trying to deal with the

aftermath and finding himself in an unfamiliar position in the second term of really being on

the defensive, having to make changes at the top of his administration,

of who's handling ICE, who's handling the response in Minneapolis, and Democrats feeling

like they have an edge here when it comes to government funding.

Trump's backed against a wall, Anna.

First of all, you can tell by what's going on in the White House.

Trump has knee-capped Greg Bovino, who was this Customs and Border Patrol officer in Minneapolis, who was ostensibly in charge of their operations there.

He had a long meeting with Christy Noem, the DHS Secretary and Corey Lewandowski, Noam's top official, top aide, I guess, not really an official, but an aide.

And on the Hill, Republicans are speaking out against Trump.

Not against Trump, but saying ICE and CPB's kind of hard-edged immigration crackdown is, you know, effectively out of control.
