Earlier this week, we told you former president Donald Trump's team appeared nervous.

Nervous enough, at least, to contact the special counsel's office at the Department of Justice

to demand a meeting with the people investigating him, saying that they had serious concerns

about the investigation, about the grand jury, and they wanted to be heard.

At the time, this seemed like a last-ditch effort to argue against a potential indictment.

Well, on Wednesday, the former president got a target letter from the DOJ saying what he undoubtedly
