Our colleagues in the WNYC Newsroom produce a podcast we particularly like. You may remember that we

aired the inaugural episode a month or so back. It's called Trump, Inc. and the hosts use the podcast

to deputize you, the listeners, to help them investigate some of the mysteries of Donald Trump's

business interests, especially when they conflict with

his job as president. This week, instead of focusing on President Trump's businesses,

they're looking more broadly at business interests in the Trump administration. They're also

giving you homework. WNYC reporter Andrea Bernstein kicks off the episode.

Here's something we learned about the Trump administration, a lobbyist, and an herbicide that

chemically castrates frogs. The herbicide is named Atrazine, and it's made by this huge

agribusiness company named Syngenta. This is Claire Perlman. She's a ProPublica

Research Fellow, also a former PI.

And scientists have found that it's associated with low sperm counts in men.

Atrazine has a more dramatic effect on frogs.

Essentially, it can chemically castrate a frog and essentially turns it into a female frog.

After they were exposed to atrazine, the male frogs were able to give birth to into a female frog. After they were exposed to outrage,

the male frogs were able to give birth to frog,

thus female frogs were.

So it's banned in Europe?

It is banned in Europe.

It's been banned there since 2004.

But it's not banned in the U.S.?
