Good evening and welcome to a special last word hour of defendant Trump coverage of two important hearings today involving the criminal prosecutions of Donald Trump in two states.

A politician running for office this year was in court today trying to get out of trouble.

You're confused. You think I'm on trial. These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020.

I'm not on trial no matter how hard you try to put me on trial.

No technically Fulton County District Attorney Fawnee Willis was not on trial but

her judgment was in effect on trial in a hearing that has the legal

potential to delay the trial of Georgia versus Donald Trump and his

co-defendants possibly indefinitely. The defendants in that case are seeking to have

Fawny Willis and Nathan Wade who she hired as a special prosecutor in the case

just qualified from the case which would mean an entirely new legal team

would have to take over the case but at the close of today's hearing

MSMBCs Katie Fang who was in the courtroom and is a lawyer, said she did not think that the defendants

met their burden of proof to have the district attorney disqualified from the case.

District attorney Willis's testimony will continue tomorrow at 9 a.m.
