0:40.5	Nippon steel, a Japanese company, will be acquiring U.S. steel. Donald Trump is making up fake
0:47.3	terms of the agreement when, in fact, the agreement was already made in 2023 and was blocked
0:53.1	by former President Biden.
0:55.1	And Donald Trump on the campaign trail threatened to block this deal as well.
0:59.6	But now he's just making up fake terms about what the deal actually is.
1:03.1	I'll talk about that in a little bit.
1:05.1	But here's what Donald Trump says while speaking with the steel workers at Nippon Steel.
1:09.6	He says that we will be increasing steel tariffs from 25% and doubling it to 50%.

1:21.0	We are going to be imposing a 25% increase.
1:26.8	We're going to bring it from 25% to 50% the tariffs on steel into the United
1:32.5	States of America, which will even further secure the steel industry in the United States.
1:42.1	Nobody's going to get around that. So we're bringing it up from 25%
1:48.0	we're doubling it to 50%
1:51.0	and that's a loophole.
