One, the Trump administration looks to make a shutdown as painful as possible,

threatening massive layoffs. Number two, military brass are keeping quiet amid the looming shutdown.

And number three, it's complicated Ohio Republicans slow walk redistricting.

All right, Jake, let's get into it. This is a moving story that happened late last night, late in terms of

us, where the news broke that the Trump administration was going to threaten large-scale

firings of federal workers if the federal

government shuts down next week a nuclear tactic to make a funding lapse as painful as

possible for Democrats. You know, we could see this coming, right? And I think this is Democrats'

big fear because they are, this is a very dramatic game of chicken and which side is going to blink first.

And right now you have, this is the latest move by the Trump administration to say like, okay, Democrats, you don't want to go for a clean CR.

Then we are going to do everything we can in our power.

And potentially, I'm sure this, if this does happen, we'll get caught up in the courts

and all kinds of different things.

But to take this tactic is certainly playing some hardball politics.
