This is Michael Popoc legal AF. I forgot how much I missed Judge Tanya Chutkin in the DC election interference case. She's back. She's cranking out orders against Donald Trump almost hourly to clear the backlog of motions he filed, some going back all

away to October nine months ago, and she's just denying denying denying the motions

now that she's got the case back. Remember that that case against

Donald Trump for the four counts of election interference and for obstruction of

an official proceeding and defrauding America was put on ice was stayed while the Supreme Court of the United States finally got around to deciding on July 1st about the immunity decision, but they sent it back to her.

This is the first week and weekend that she has the case back officially, and boy is she chopping

wood. There were four, for instance, motions to dismiss,

all filed on the same day in October,

October the 23rd that Donald Trump filed

to try every which way to get rid of that indictment against him,

that pesky little thing called an indictment from from Jack Smith the Special Council.

And now in the course of just hours, she's already denied two of them.

And I'm sure the next two are on the chopping block.

Earlier today and I did a hot take on this one already she dismissed the argument that

the indictment should be dismissed on what's called statutory grounds.

In other words, Donald Trump had argued in October that the four counts of the indictment

and an emotion to dismiss, they all have to be accepted as true all the facts that were alleged by

jacksmith have to be accepted as true that they didn't state a claim for the actual crimes

judge says I am denying that without prejudice while I decide on the immunity issue.

But today in a scathing order on the heels of that, she's denied another motion to dismiss

Donald Trump brought. Donald Trump brought a motion arguing that he was the victim of selective prosecution and vindictive prosecution by the Department of Justice that they were just doing President Biden's bidding that's the only

reason he's being prosecuted and the whole case should be thrown out. His entire basis for that
