Summary

The new U.S.–EU trade deal negotiated between Donald Trump and the EU’s Ursula von der Leyen is surprisingly one-sided in favor of the United States. In the end Europe made major concessions, including accepting a 15% tariff on goods and agreeing to purchase $750 billion worth of U.S. energy, while the U.S. gave up virtually nothing in return.
