I am delighted to be joined by our columnist Lionel Schreiber and we are going to be talking about the big news

of the day which is that Donald Trump has been found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business

records this is a historic moment no doubt a president of the United States found guilty in court in Manhattan.

Lionel, you wrote a piece a few weeks ago saying, I think the headline was, can Donald Trump

get a fair trial? I think we have the answer now, do we not? I'm afraid, yes, we do. And the

answer is no. Now, I always have to establish this

because I have never been a Trump supporter.

I voted for Joe Biden in the last election.

I have never voted for Trump.

I am hugely critical of him,

although I am not one of those commentators who goes on at great length in a craze high voice about what a terrible threat he is to American democracy,

etc. I just don't think it accomplishes

anything. And it's all preaching to the converted. So I don't have Trump derangement syndrome.
