0:06.8	that he wasn't overturning an election.
0:09.1	He was ensuring election integrity.
0:11.7	And all of this is completely above board

0:19.6	that Trump made today in a new filing
0:21.8	that was filed in federal court in a state court,
0:24.3	asking a judge to dismiss the Jack Smith indictment
0:26.7	charging Trump with election interference.
0:29.6	In the new filing, Trump's lawyers asserted
0:31.7	that, quote, the prosecution cannot argue
0:34.3	that president Trump's efforts to ensure integrity
0:37.0	in the election were outside of the scope of his duties.
0:40.1	They even went on to say, quote,
0:42.1	the president's motivations are not for the prosecution
0:45.2	or this court to decide.
