Our top story is the kind of scandal that has certainly ended political careers before, direct and blatant grifting or profiteering off a public office. President Trump has been doing this out in the open hawking this virtual currency that you see here that is sort of what they call a coin. Sometimes they call it a

meme coin. The money, though, goes into his pocket. The buyers can remain secret, and Trump is getting

hundreds of millions of dollars from this crypto scheme. There are calls now tonight for investigations

and to what critics say is the most brazen corruption in the actual history of the American presidency.

One of the many scandals dogging this administration that also faces now sinking approval,

rocky markets, what he might have gotten away with on day one, may not be the case for day 101 or 110.

Senators are demanding action now, noting this is worse than most campaign fundraising scandals.

In campaign fundraising, there can be corruption questions.

You can get a lot of trouble, but that money goes to the campaign, right?

It doesn't actually reach the politician directly.

This is not like he's hosting a fundraising event, this gala dinner that he has just announced.

It's not like this money is going to go into his campaign or someone else's campaign.

No, this money goes straight into Donald Trump's pocket.

Meanwhile, reporters did press Donald Trump on this from his very first day

of the second term. I heard it was very successful. I haven't checked it. Where is it today?

He made a lot of money, sir. How much? Several billion dollars, it seems like, in the last several

days. Several billion billion that's peanuts for

these guys Trump referring to some of the rich people who were there but of course that's not the

point the billions was in the total market capitalization of the crypto he's making according to

these accounts hundreds of millions.
