Welcome to the beat. I am Katie Feng in for Ari Melber. It's been another bad week for Donald

Trump in court facing legal hurdles in three separate jurisdictions as judges in the states of New York, Georgia, and Florida all

rejected the former president's attempts to either dismiss or delay the

many criminal cases against him. Now we're now less than two weeks out

from Trump's first criminal trial,

the New York election interference slash hush money case.

Today, Judge Mershan denying Trump's subpoena to get documents from NBC about

Jeremy Daniels. The judge ruling Trump quote has not shouldered the very

heavy burden necessary to rifle through the privileged

documents of the news organization.

That wasn't the only blow to Trump in New York this week.

The judge also expanding the partial gag order against him and denying

his presidential immunity claim. But Trump is continuing to try his hand at

more delay tactics, filing just about an hour ago a motion to recuse Judge Mershian

alleging a link between Mershian's daughter's company and campaign activity

mentioning the case.

The filing is really, really similar to the one that the Trump team made last year, which

Judge Mershand denied, after he consulted the State Judicial Ethics Committee. We still anticipate that the case will move forward

as scheduled with jury selection beginning on April 15th.

And things don't look much better for Trump down in Georgia,

where Judge Scott McAfee rejected Trump's arguments

to dismiss that RICO case based on the First Amendment. Rebuking Trump's assertion
